..30 years ago this weekend ? Winter storm 93'
I was 12 years old. My family and a heard of cousins all held up at my grandmothers house that had a big fire place. It was awesome. Definitely a few days I'll never forget. Kind of crazy to think that we only really had 24-36 hour notice.

That was storm was a lot of fun!

I was a senior in high school, and me and some buddies were drinking the night before with no idea it was about to be the blizzard of '93.

Over at my friend's neighborhood riding bicycles, eating nutter butter cookies, drinking milk, and smoking Newports. Think i was 12 😃

I drove to work I was the only one there.

Doing things i shouldnt have done with people i shouldnt have done them with. The pattern of the next 15yrs of my life.

Knocked my wife up that night.

Working in Costa Rica.

I was at the same place I am right now. We lost power for 2 or 3 days. Stayed close to the fireplace since that's the only heat we had. Glad we had a sufficient supply of firewood

Working and did so for the next 6 days straight

Was in a winter storm years later that was much - much worse - 16 inches of snow in texarkana. Some folks n country were w out power 4-5 weeks. Walmart sold out of generaters and there was folks n parking lot fighting over stuff like that

I was 5. My dad is a lineman. I remember stacking firewood on the back porch way more than we normally did. He left the next morning and I didn’t see him for a long time. He swung by the house days later in a bucket truck long enough to check on us and grab more clothes and boots and was gone again. I remember my mom made a huge pot of vegetable soup and kept reheating it on the pot belly stove. I hated it and haven’t eaten it in 30 years. Anytime someone mentions it I think about that bucket truck in the yard and I pass on it! My dad still works at the electric cooperative and he says he hopes he doesn’t see snow until he retires.

I had just recently moved to Pennsylvania. I was renting a house at a resort outside of Stroudsburg with "private contracted" snow removal on the roads. The snow plows couldn't get up the mountain for several days. That little flurry y'all had down here was nothing.

I was 8 in Nacogdoches, TX.

At home on leave for a few days that turned out to be a few more days

Knew you were a young phucker! 93 I had been all over the world and drank way too much.
