Y'all are correct. I've made a trip to their place annually for most of the last 6 years. I have over 100 of their fruit trees, plus mast trees and berry vines. I have always enjoyed visiting with Eddie, Alan and the guys. However, their varieties are geared toward wildlife. My wife says after watching all of the trees putting out fruit for the deer, she wants varieties more suitable for canning and cooking. The Wildlife Group will always be my first choice for wildlife plantings.

I'll check on Pedals from the Past. Thanks, guys.

I bought about 25 apple trees from the wildlife group years ago. I think 3 are left. The others gotup to about 4-5 inches in diameter and rotted where they grafted the plant onto the root. It may have been something I did but I found it interesting they sll did the same thing.

Woody1 ... I have purchased quiet a few from him (well his wife, Mrs.Woody1) ... I picked up my thornless blackberries a few weeks ago.... everything (plums, apples, peaches, pears, blueberries and blackberries all look good and are adapting well.)

The wildlife group offers some good commercial varieties of apples and plums and
Peaches. Your issue with apples will be chilling hours. The stone fruit they offer (peaches and plums) would be better suited for area. Petals from the past is a great nursery as well.

Unfortunately no I do not. I travel the area and listen to alabama 100 radio and have heard thier advertising. They are advertising a bundle of fruit trees now for 170 something.
