On a scale of 1-10 what is the quantity/quality of deer that come from that stretch of river? Any ducks, other than woodies? How big of a nuisance are the hogs?

Thanks in advance.

Lots of ducks on the Tombigbee.
Depends on the area but hogs are definitely a problem.

The properties I’ve been on in that area have both quality and quantity. Hogs are aggravating but as long as the plots are over 1.5 to 2 acres the deer will tolerate them. The ducks are primarily woodies but occasionally big ducks will show up. If hogs become a problem for you I have a couple net traps and will travel. Lol

Good area. Plenty of hogs and deer along the river.

Those two places are not particularly similar IMO. Gainesville catches some edge features of the black belt, depending on exact location. Areas around Aliceville can be straight up Alabama red clay and pines. Very tract specific I would think.

Hunted that stretch of river in Gainesville religiously when I was in college at UWA. There are not as many deer there as you would think there would be.
