Yeah them swamp rabbits will do some crazy stuff. I’ve seen them squat in water with just their head sticking up. They’ll keep sitting until a dogs right on top of them usually. Yeah , we had one pass a couple of hunters but didn't make it a short distance to some others. One of the hunters took a few steps and looked , he was hunkered down in a skidder rut with just his head sticking out of water. I saw the one in this video before he came out of the thicket, he was coming down a ditch in water . Then into the drained duck pond and stopped in plain sight . He got flat to the ground but the dogs got on him quick and then he launched like F18 fighter plane. Very cool to see that play out in an open area and catch it on video. They will swim too!
