I can’t believe I just paid $62 for 5 Apex 20ga turkey loads!!! I looked at the Verdict tss #8s but they wanted more for shipping and I don’t know anything about them. After what I seen them do it Texas last spring, it’s money well spent.

I still shoot the XRs. Deadly to 65 and half the cost.

Yep. As soon as I run out of tss I’m going to the XR’s. My sons 870 patterns better with XR’s than tss.

I don't mind the cost except when sighting in. I want to go to a lighter load in 20ga but it's easier and cheaper just to throw 1 5/8 instead of testing and rezeroing.

I still have a lifetime supply of 20ga HW 7s. I just can’t make myself go back to them. Some of us need all the help we can get.

I get Apex for free and still shoot magblends

I’ll swap you a box of magblends for a box of them free apex. Mine are 12 ga 3in. I’ll take 12,20, or 410.

How did you spend 62? I bought some and paid bout 50$ a box. Buddy got some for 45 a box. Marsh you know there’s a 15% off for first responders.

10 4 they aren’t as bad as I make them out be but we sure had a rough batch of them to start with. The shot is top notch no doubt we just had a run of them with bad primers best I can tell.

Which primer can make a big difference. My .410 load uses a primer I'm running out of. It'll work with another but not nearly so well. That's why I say .410 factory is not for me.

HW7 and a SumToy 562-5 did everything I ever wanted out of a turkey gun. I don't use the extra performance my 1 5/8oz load provides. Solid brass shells look class tho.

I would but there may come a day where they price me out the tss game and need to fall back on them.

If my luck don't change, I'll still be using the box of five I opened last year next year.

Gonna roll 25/30 next week. Using a trap to site in sure takes the sting off TSS cost
