Here's a Barnes TTSX 130gr 308 I retrieved after a double lung pass through . It was in the ground and I dug it out. Opened perfectly , no fragmentation .

Rare find there, especially on a pass through. I've shot 2 deer this year with a 120 TSXX out of a 7-08. If you hit a shoulder you can go ahead and trash it.

It was in a food plot , I double lunged it . I noticed a little furrow , so I dug in at the end . It wasn't very deep .

I also have one out of a big buck that field dressed 204 . I shot him hard quartering away and it traveled the length of him , stopping just under the off shoulder skin. Looks the same as the one above, performed the same.

Shot a medium size buck yesterday with a 120 grain out of my 6.5-06. I think it's still in orbit somewhere. High shoulder shot completely wrecked that deer. Never took a step

The way those things drill though a deer , I'd say I'm lucky to have found two of them. Had the one yesterday been in the woods or the big buck hadn't been big as farmer Brown's prize steer ,I'd never found those.

Nice. I've thought real hard about getting some of the 120 TTSX and trying them in my 7mm-08 but just haven't done it yet.

You won’t be disappointed, I got some last year when that’s all I could find and I had always shot 140 grain but these 120’s are bad little bullets, picked up a couple more boxes last month

My only experience with the ttsx at high velocity was last year with my 6.5prc. Extremely accurate and fast. Shot a large doe broadside. Perfect hit behind the shoulder. Double lung. Doe ran about 100 yards through thick privet. Bullet had full pass through. No bullet recovery but upon autopsy, the bullet did a good job but just didn’t deliver the explosion that I experienced with SST’s. I think the TTSX is an excellent bullet but I prefer a bullet that explodes in the thoracic cavity. Just my perspective. If you like one that should always punch through, this maybe your bullet!

I always shot the 120 grain ttsx in a 7mm08 and now a 6.5 creedmoor I've probably killed atleast 15 mature bucks with them majority shoulder shots and I've recovered one bullet on a 20 yard shoulder shot on a 240lb deer. I really like the ttsx in light for caliber weights

We will burn that bridge when we get there

Bad bullets. But like posted above, I don’t know about shooting behind the shoulder with them. I always anchor in the shoulder. Not worried about meat loss, isn’t a whole lot on a front shoulder anyway

They usually don’t take a step

The 7mm 120 grain NBT is a stout bullet, as well. I’ve been well pleased with it in my 7-08. I would shoot an elk with one.

I've also got a few boxes of those but I have not tried them yet. My particular rifle seems to shoot the lighter bullets better than the 140 grain bullets. The best thing I've found for my gun so far is 120 grain sierra pro hunters and they have passed all the way through the 2 deer I've shot with them.

WOW!

Never seen a bullet shoot through a deer before.

Y'all crack me up.

Maybe the terrible BC is the secret sauce. 0.35 gotta get them close and the velocity up to make that turd shine.

If you would have added the poor performance of the. 308 it would have been better... 6/10

Everybody knows if you're not shooting a 14 millimeter quadruple belted magnum 2400 grain shell out of a 45 inch barrel and a 24 pound gun you can't kill a Alabama pine goat. If you could call in a fire mission from a battery of 198 towed Howitzer's it would be even better.

I’ve always wanted to kill one with my bare hands. Jump out of the tree, wrestle him down and break his neck. I might be too old for that now. I have killed a few with a 308 through. So there’s that.
