My boy Coleman bucked out with his biggest buck yesterday evening. I had him drop me off in the sxs at one spot and I sent him to a field about 1/2 mile from him. The afternoon was really slow with the two of us texting back and forth to pass the time. At 5:15 he sends me the following text: “I have a hunkinin in the field and I think he has 4 on one side” I replied “Kill Him”! I opened the house window to my left and waited. About 20 seconds later BOOM!! I got my stuff, closed the window, and got out of the house. About that time, he calls. I asked if you got him. His voice is shaking and he says “yes sir, and I think he’s a 10 point”. I told him to make sure his gun is on safety and unload it, put it in its case, and come get me. When he pulled up he had this blank stare and said “Dad, he was about this wide”. He stretched his hands out to about 16 inches. I got in the sxs and drove us to The plot. I told him to get in the house and tell me where he was standing. He marked the spot (30 yards) and I started looking for blood…no blood anywhere. I looked at the edge of the plot where he went and could see a decent trail. We went sown this trail and wasn’t finding much sign. I asked him if he was sure he hit it and he said “Dad, it was 30 yards with a rifle”!! All I could do was laugh. We went a little further down the trail and I found a drop of blood. He then said “told you I hit him”. About 5 yards from there was blood everywhere. I shined the light down the hill, and there he was!! That boy probably ran every deer out of Randolph County yelling!! 9 point 15 1/2” spread 165 pounds ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/JwKkYEN.jpg)
