Almost forgot, I was at Gary’s last week and saw a little Ruger compact for sale. I had never seen a scope base like that. Kinda looked funky so far forward. They sure are handy rifles though. https://imgur.com/a/sit9cSO

Jeff Cooper scout rifle concept I guess you could get used to it, but the few I've held had an extremely small field of view and just seemed awkward.
