City Cafe for casual dining. They have a regular and a dessert menu that is overwhelming!

It's not downtown, but if its still open, the Chop House is good.

I like Big River Grill , downtown. I get the meatloaf , it's not your Grandmaw's meatloaf.

All of the above are great options. My favorites are City Cafe, Big River and the Chophouse. If you can squeeze it in go by the Chattanooga Whiskey tasting room for either a pre-dinner or post -dinner taste of some good whiskey and bourbon.

If you like Italian, Tony’s Pasta Shop up the hill from downtown is excellent.
They also have a bakery next door with some excellent desserts too.

Puckett’s. They’ve got Southern cooking that’s really good.

Hennens has a good steak, Big River for a hamburger or pizza and a good assortment of craft beers and Puckett’s for breakfast.
