I have to mask up during monthly INR tests for 10-20 minutes. Got them to stop pushing the shot on me by asking "Any explanation for spike in blood clot deaths since the booster came out? No? I'm trying to avoid getting blood clots not catch anymore." I still get a real dirty look from that person. By the way I'm at 1.8 and they want me between 2-3. I'd explain it but nobody can read my meanderings. Not a clot shot supporter by any means; but, you do realize that the lower your INR value is the more likely you are to throw a clot?

I wear one when I go see my doc at UAB. Not a mask wearer or a vaccine supporter. But my options are limited. It’s either go to UAB or Vandy or possibly die. So I’ll just keep wearing that mask when I go to UAB.

I’m in the same boat as far as shopping for a new doctor. I really like the doctor I’ve been seeing but the support staff is horrible. I’ve been going to Bham Internal Med at St Vincent’s 119. I’d recommend staying away from there. I’ve been trying to get an appointment for nearly a week and can’t get anyone live to actually answer the phone. I’ve also sent 2 messages through their patient portal that never has been responded to. I need a doctor that works M-F and has someone live actually answer the phone. Not much to ask for but apparently nearly impossible to find.

Know someone in medical school there. They had a mandatory lecture a few weeks back on gender reassignment. The good doctor that gave the lecture kept referring to Alabama as Talibama, referring to the law that prevents doctors from prescribing drugs to minors to help with their reassignment. He told the class he didn't care, "I prescribe them anyway". I have relatives that went to school there and work there. They are constantly bombarded with this type talk. If he/she is breaking the law and flaunting it; your friend should record one of those presentations and turn him in.

I get pissed when folks wear them in my store. Makes me uneasy and gives off a bad vibe. Not only that, but I simply cannot understand folks if I can’t read their lips. Communication is pretty important for us as well. I was trying to check in to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel a few weeks ago and the guy that was helping me had a mask on. I couldn’t understand a word he was saying. I finally said, “Could you please take that mask off for five minutes so I can check in.” He pulled it down when he needed to talk form then on.

UAB is a cesspool. My son hated it there. I took the wife to the free standing er today. All the workers masked up. I didn't offer to wear one. Didn't give the impression I was persuasive and they left me alone. I had to crawl a few asses to make them do what I knew needed to be done for a 5mm kidney stone blocking the bladder. Told the doctor to his face that he had the bedside manner of a honey badger. When he returned, he had a different attitude.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

No way. Their name would come out and they would be thrown out of school. Anyone like that is usually vindictive. Record it and get it to me. I’ll dang sure turn him in. Nephew goes to UAB. He’s very conservative and he says UAB is nothing more than a liberal indoctrination camp. He’s a senior and about to finish up and said he’s only had one teacher, in 4 yrs, that was not openly liberal and pushing the liberal political agenda. He’s just keeping his mouth shut til he can get his degree and get out of there.

A good portion of my professors had significant experience in business (not teaching). It was very conservative at that point and time.

I'm pretty sure UAB was prescribing Remdesiver and venting patients unnecessarily for covid. Those that took part in that crime should suffer the worst possible repercussions.

I'm pretty sure UAB was prescribing Remdesiver and venting patients unnecessarily for covid. Those that took part in that crime should suffer the worst possible repercussions. They got paid 20% more to use remdesivir. That's what I have been saying about UAB all along. They are in bed with big pharma. Do no harm, its part of of doctors oath. To blindly follow a corportate medical dictate that makes the hospital more money is a violation of that oath.
