You beat me to the punch.........this was the reply I had typed out for Matt


From a CWD perspective I figure the long term solution is gonna be for it to run its course and nature will sort out the winners and losers…..Its gonna continue its spread and do what its gonna do….Releasing high fence does could help to introduce a resistance to it……I figure they would be the most likely to be ahead of the curve and possess such deer …..It would an effort to counter the bottle neck that may naturally occur. Once its finished its spread across the state then it is what it is…….there’s no longer a threat of releasing deer that might have it……you’re throwing nature a bone in a way…..more genetic options or outliers to pick and choose from. At the end of the day its kinda naïve to think these places don’t already have escapees occurring or deer interacting nose to nose around the fence lines.
