The guy looking for 308 Marlin Express got me thinking. What’s the most obscure caliber you have hunted or currently hunt with?

Mines not super unique, but 264 Win Mag is the most obscure thing I’ve killed a deer with.

I guess mine would have to be 7mm-08 if you wanna call it obscure even though it's a pretty common caliber. Everything else I've got is 243,270 and 7 mag.

That .264 win mag is a sweet round.

Me, probably just a 25-06.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Have several in 7.62x39. Not terribly obscure, but not run of the mill for hunting rifle.

Savage Model 340V .225 Winchester 55gr soft point. Killed a lot of deer with it. Gave it to a now ex son-in-law about 30 years ago.

I hunted with a borrowed 30/40 krag one time. My own most exotic caliber is a pretty common 25.06. I guess every deer rifle I have ever owned is a pretty common round. My son has a. 30 carbine he hunts with every now and then.

Not really obscure, but 8mm Mauser for me.

What I’d really like to have custom made one day - and hunt big game with - is a 358 Norma based a pre 64 Model 70 action. Maybe one day.

243 wssm. Bad little round but the abolt didn’t want to feed correctly from one side of the clip. Between that abolt and the duratouch stock debacle on abshotgun is why I will never buy another browning. Fool me twice… I don’t have it any more but I understand now it’s nearly impossible to find ammo.
