Below are 2 ways to properly use "Doe" to refer to the female version of a Deer in a sentence:
1) I saw a 60 lb "doe" and kilt her with my .243. Got a pass through too because my bullets are magic.
2) I saw 87 - DOES. But, I was hoping for a spike and didn't shoot...
Who on the internet decided "Doe" was plural?
STOP.
And BTW you don't "sale" anything either... you "sell" it.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I supposed it is the abbreviated version....87 doe deer and 15 buck deer vs 87 does and 15 bucks?? That's all I've got, but understand and agree with your inquiry.

I had about 5 doe deer on the field last night myself. Would have shot but my scope's exit pupil wasn't gathering enough light and I was worried about my bullet rising above the parabolic arc. Finally someone who gets it!

I agree with all of this for seeing does, but the irony of a man pointing out grammatical errors and misspelling "properly" in the first sentence made me chuckle. Finally the one that gets me is you're supposed to be "quiet" not quite when hunting...
