Also a good bit of knowledge an older fellow gave me years ago that seems fitting here:

Took me 10 minutes to get out of bed and walk this morning. I had a really heavy day yesterday and today as well. Should have been born rich instead of good looking š

"The number one cause of injury in older men is older men still believing they are younger men." The older I get the more this rings true. I have friends older than me that still do crazy things and enjoy life to the fullest. Heck some of my friends still party like we did in the 80s and 90s. Iām into moderation now. LOL

I'm still pretty good at 55. But I've had to increase my water intake considerably. Dehydration can cause a lot of issues, aches and pains. I try to drink at least 120 ounces a day. Y'all wouldn't believe my workout routine but its pretty intense. But the constant hydration has made a huge difference.

I've heard sex was the fix, but I cannot confirm as I'm married.
Been here long enough to go from "bring 'da pain" to " bring 'da pain meds.

My doctor prescribed mobic to reduce inflammation. Still there but its amazing the difference. Mobic is a old drug that reduces inflammation. Any of you old farts that have trouble getting out of bed or stays stiff, try it. You will be amazed.

Marry a woman 12 years younger. I did this, hips hurt, back aches, don't walk as fast as I used to but I do it all with a smile on my face.

I don't have anything constructive to add to this thread other than a realization that sugar is the #1 thing that causes me inflammation and joint pain. Ankles, knees, hip, back, shoulder, elbow...hurrt worse. When I am disciplined enough to limit my sugar intake there is a marked decrease in inflammation and joint pain. My discipline is the real trouble.

Sleep is my problem. If I don't sleep enough, I feel hungover the next day Wish I could get more than 6 hours a night. Many times itās more like 5 or 5.5 hrs a night Mon- Friday. I sometimes get 7 hours on Saturday or Sunday
