Sadly there is a huge population of pits and mixed pits, dog fighting is still a big thing

I’ve known some dog fighting Guys and they’ve said their dogs rode in the backseat with their kids to and from fights, of course until they loose.

I never said they couldnt be dangerous dogs . But using a unreliable study doesn't help the case

Dont matter , they ALL come from one group. Even the one on the cdc. Research the source all the way back and you'll see.

They are not reliable because of the way it is gathered. Pits may kill more than others dogs . But that one source and only source is no way credible

Places that use that study will a list sources and those place wIll give sources back to thst source it's just a circle jerk

Kill the dogs then the owner if they allowed them to run loose. If the dogs got out by accident then just send the owner to prison for a long time. There has to be accountability for keeping vicious dogs.

I talked to several vet friends before I got my first dog and they said Dalmations are stupid with most having issues as Someone said. I thought I wanted one until they talked me out of it. I ended up with a Yellow Lab., Mollie, RIP a great dog.

I can use local news reports and I see similarities to what I listed. If not full blooded most dogs contributing to fatal dog attacks will have pit in them. I know guys that swear they’re the greatest dog ever, just misunderstood. Yada yada yada.

To bring it full circle there are plenty of dummy’s that get dogs they shouldn’t simply because they’re cool. I’d love to have a Mal but I know I do not have the place nor the time for one. My wife wants a big German shepherd, I told her no because we do not have the time nor the place for one. We have labs and a Boston, my one lab was cray cray and was not allowed around children. Doubt he’d kill someone but I’m sure he could’ve inflicted some damage.

My opinion from what I know about AR groups and how they work and what they wanna see happen is they want that breed gone . When that breed is gone it'll be the next breed. Same as with the gun grabbers , only one animal at a time .

There are factors the study does not include . The biggest unknown , how many are there of each breed .
The pit has the strongest bite so if it bites it's gonna cause the most damage but that fact alone does not make it the MOST dangerous breed .

Numbet 2 thing is ,,, how was the dog raised .

Like I said I ain't trying to claim pits ain't dangerous . I'm just claiming this study don't prove that pits is the MOST dangerous breed

One other thing , there are no other studies on dog bites that i know of . Of course it's been a few years since I was into this topic

This is such a tragic story that makes my heart break. In reading the article, It appears the dogs that did the killings were the families dogs. The father posted a pic on the book of faces and called them house lions. How will he be able to live with that? I bet the dogs were the “friendliest dogs in the world” until they weren’t.

I get what you’re saying but the odds of pits, pit mixed fatal attacks happen because there’s plenty of them around. I can make some dog breeds much more dangerous than pits but they’re as rare as hitting the lottery. Theb2nd link I posted had bite pressure etc and the pits were low on the list.

Like mentioned earlier, lack of accountability thruout society. However if the hog attacks it’s family as in this case who’s accountable, the husband?

What a heartbreaking story in every way. That man will never get over his decision to have pits as family dogs with two babies in the house. I don't need any studies or arguments to know I personally will never have a pit in my house. They can be sweet dogs but they have an unnatural lust for killing bred into them that makes them ticking time bombs.
