Hey guys just realized this is up and wanted to check in.First time in the contest because my hunting was somewhat limited until now due to living 350 miles from my place up here but that’s changed now. Should be a resident within the month.Not terribly creative so any name is fine.I am about 20 miles nw of Dothan and have my own property which is really all I hunt.But it’s 320 acres , very well managed and lightly pressured so I will definitely be able to contribute.If any of you are close enough and want to hunt you are welcome to come. I will be living on the property, mostly retired, will most likely be hunting pretty much every day things are right all season and have lots of room.

I am gun only I am afraid. The good news is I have droves of does to shoot and a buck is pretty much assured. Going to be a very interesting year as I am just finishing up a 50 ac clear cut right down the gut of my place

Alabama.I am in the process of moving to my property near Ozark and Fort Rucker which is why I got in the contest. I will be able to hunt pretty much any day I want and I have 320 acres with pretty good hunting. I can be off the couch and in my best stand in about 5 minutes. Very low pressure and chilled out deer.

Just lucky I ended up as 4th generation owner of the farm my daddy was born on. I have been working on it for a lot of years to improve deer and turkeys.About 7 years s ago my west neighbor with 220 ac clear it the whole property and did not replant so it is a deer factory. The 500 acres south the guy feeds all year manages it like crazy does not let anyon hunt it but him and has not shot a deer in 10 years so a lot of different things have come together to make some fine hunting. Which with this timber cut, which I did largely to provide good cover and transitional edge, in five years it will be crazy good. I averaged seeing a little under 11 a sit last year with 24 on best sit. Did not see a buck I wanted to shoot though. I will shoot one for the contest this year though for sure

Are you guys going to be able to put a doe down for sure? If not let me know. I got several buddies who will want a freezer doe so if need be I can shoot them so they count

I should be..we got a place in lamar county thats has a good number of critters..i ortah be good for a couple does at least..we had buck galore last year a we slaydem..not much on camera tho this year..well..does…we got plenty of them..ida dun been some already but i been workin non stop here lately..ill be at the lease kn lamar the 22nd..we got work to do but i may slip around an gig one..i hunt a little bit of everwhere tho..ill sleep in my camper shell on a cot an make a day hunt about anywhere that tickles my fancy. I been watjn to head down an hunt the choctaw national wildlife refuge but i aint made it yet..need to go to barbour and londes too..hadnt been in awhile..i hate north alabama by the way..i dont hunt up here much anymore
