Back in the late 80s early 90s there were billions of dollars of land bought/sold in Florida to wash drug money.

Drinking water for homes and schools in Arizona is DRYING UP because foreign owned megafarms are sucking it up for their crops... which are then shipped to Middle East

The Saudi's have a special relationship with Arizona. They have irrigated alfalfa farms there.
They use the hay to feed their dairy's back home.( and the Royal horses ) Aquafers are drying up there for everybody.
I had a good story on this, but couldn't link it.

( but carter did)

NO non-US citizen should be allowed to own more than 5 acres in America.

The chicken farms in my area are being bought up by Vietnamese at an alarming rate.

Is the mineral rights worth anything?

Probably not since that wasn't even discussed when I bought my house.

last year and to my knowledge own 8 or 9 farms in Missouri. All of the investor's own dairies in Kiwi land and some other Countries. They cut farm hands to a minimum and equipment as well. They pay out the ass for contract work/machinery
instead of just adding a few more tractors. They were hiring a farm boss here for around 100K annually a while back
