We got rain for next 2 weeks after 5 years of record rain - wondering when the loggers and timber guys all quit around here - high wind will blow every tree down in this area if we get a hurricane
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

It’s raining as bad or worse this week than any hurricane anyway. One kick in the nuts after another. I know and i'm sick Iof it. We were talking the other day about how it most likely won't rain come planting time, and i told 'em at this point i really don't give a DAMN...

Looks like is has moved west and not as strong now.
But North Sumter is about to float away. Spann said it looks like more than 10" since midnight. And its still raining.
I have a couple trees down from the spring and was going to cut them up and split them for firewood this weekend. Guess ill wait till the ground is firmer than gravy. That dirt there is different than most of Alabama, when its wet you dont do anything.

I honestly can't remember the last day it DID NOT rain in Mobile, at least a little.

I agree...where is this posted because I'm not seeing it anywhere?? It must be an advance forecast model, As in, it could become that over Labor Day weekend., of Disturbance #1 on the NOAA site. #! is east of the Winward Islands currently with a less than 20% chance of formation over the next 4-5 days.

James Spann said that’s fake news
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I agree...where is this posted because I'm not seeing it anywhere?? Tropicaltidbits.com It is a site with modeling data. Yes it is long range GFS models. Yesterday it showed a well formed storm and hitting Gulf Shores on 9\3. Todays shows less formation and it going over Louisiana on 9\4. It is too far our for anything to be accurate (thats what Spann was saying). But several days of models show something forming in the southern Gulf of Mexico. I guess that makes news because nothing has formed yet this year. I am sure something will form at some point but there is no way to know how strong it will be or in what direction it will head. The Gulf is really warm and that will allow for storm formation. I watch the models as a hobby and because I am associated with a charity that responds to disaster locations to provide free meals. I look at the long range models to see how I need to manage my business schedule so I can take time off work to serve people in need. If anyone is interested in my charity the website address is heretoserveinc.org . It is a non profit but if it is not approprate to post the website I would ask that a moderator take it down or PM me to do so.

I honestly can't remember the last day it DID NOT rain in Mobile, at least a little. Seems that we are living the Vietnam rain scene from Forrest Gump down here
