I saw something very similar to this when I was a kid. A drunk driver was being chased by the cops and crashed his car into the tree in the neighbor's yard. The cops cuffed him and put him in the back seat of a cruiser but failed to take his lighter and cigarettes. He managed to light a cigarette but dropped it on the seat which must have been very flammable. The cops dragged him and the entire burning seat out of the car then proceeded to beat the snot out of him. I was standing in the front yard in my PJs with a ringside seat to the show.
