I reported for jury duty a few years back, thinking there was no way I would be selected. I was wrong. Two weeks of missed work later, the trial was over. When we went into deliberations and voting, I was told that I was an alternate juror and was free to go.... Same crap happened to me except it was just a full day. I was still ticked, you made me sit all thru this crap and then I don't even get to cast my vote! Yeah I always feel bad for the alternate juror, especially when they’re attentive.
