While we're waiting for an update.mine got but on the nose a couple of weeks ago. Got pretty lethargic, sulled up and hid his face in the corner. Face was swollen up bad and a thick stream of drool to the carpet. By the time I got dressed and ready for work, he stood back up. It was as if he knew cause he followed me out the house and loaded up without me giving him any directions. He was better by the time I got to the vet and the swelling had dropped further down to his neck. Because of that, the face wasn't very swollen anymore. I picked him up later that day. Keep an eye on him, but don't hover and make him nervous. From your description, it sounds pretty bad. But, alot of folks panic in these situations too, so it's hard to tell over the internet.
Keep the dog as calm as possible.
