Couple years ago I put a ground blind on it. Put plywood on the floor and carpet on the wood. Used it for several years like that. I put an office computer chair in it. it was awesome!
I make things go BOOM!

I have often thought about using PVC to frame a cover/ roof on a tripod. anyone tried that. may not be any cheaper than wood but could be zip tied on and removed fairly easily....

For what you’ll pay in lumber you can buy the shelter for it Lumber is down about 50% from where it was and will still fall further from today's prices. Like someone else said though, watch the weight limit. Couple hundred pounds worth of framed out shooting house doesnt leave much room (capacity wise) for hunters, chairs and gear. The ride down to the ground would not be a fun one.

I bought one of these last year used from a guy and just wrapped it with camo and zip ties pine limbs all the way around it and it worked pretty good. This year I would like to put a tin roof on it so I dont get soaked when it rains but I've also been thinking about framing it up somehow with either 1x4 or 2x4 and wrapping it with some hunter green tin that I bought and never used that's just laying behind the barn. My question is if anyone has ever closed in one of these stands and if so could you post some pictures of how you did it. Thanks Why not buy a sheet of the corrugated plastic like they make signs from ? Sign company should be able to hook you up.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

A simple frame made of square aluminum tubing for the roof could be attached at the base and at the rail. Then you could use self tapping metal screws to attach the tin you have to the sides and the top. Just use the ones with the rubber washer on them for the roof and you should be good to go.

I have got one also. I wander if you could frame it with pvc and cover it with canvas like the old army tents then cut windows where you could velcro them up. My daughter just bought her a compound and she has never bow hunted and the one we have is in a killing spot That is what i am going to try.

Make sure you take you heart meds before you go price PVC and fittings. LOL. Proportionately, in relation to where it should be, it's way worse than lumber.

Aww man! maybe we have some leftovers from a previous engineering project..... I will be properly prepared if I do have to go buy new!

My daughter just bought her a compound and she has never bow hunted and the one we have is in a killing spot I've never thought about doing it this way but it sounds like a really good idea to me and just put a T at the peak with a short piece of pipe joining all them together to help give it strength. I wonder if you could take a camo tarp and drape it over the pvs and tie it off and then take some camo die cut material and drape it over the tarp and just take a lighter and burn holes to shoot out of so it doesn't unravel.
