They should have taken care of him, permanently, when they had the chance, and saved everyone the time and money. With 48 priors, there's no rehabilitation for someone like him and he's nothing but a waste of oxygen. Now the taxpayers will spend millions housing, feeding, and providing legal support for all his appeals for the next 20-40 yrs. Last I checked, you can buy a .22 short for about $0.06 which is obviously the correct decision in this case.

Now we get to feed him for 20 years, while he sits on Death Row.

Death row should be 30days

I would think there is body camera, vehicle camera and we have one witness to the shooting. Quick trial, no appeal, fry his azz.

For those that have sent out the prayers for Chris and Brad I think you. I am Chris Poole's uncle and a fellow deputy to both. Chris is doing good but is very up set and will need time to get a grip on what all has happened. Chris was very lucky. he was shot in the head at the hair line. The bullet traveled under the scape and around his skull and exited out the back of his head. God was riding with him that day. Chris and Brad only wanted to serve the public and help anyone that needed help. I have talked to both of them about the dangers of the profession and both new what could happen. They both always gave the same response "if I can help somebody in need then that's the chance I'm willing to take". I feel strong in my heart that Brad does not regret his service for one min." I can tell you right now Brads family is hurting but couldn't be more proud of there son. When I got the call of the shooting I had to watch my on son who is also a officer get ready for work and walk out the door and that was a feeling of horror and pride that you can't explain. It would take a lot of research through a lot of Court Documents to know how he managed to escape justice all this time. I can tell you this, Mike jackson the Bibb DA will push for the Death Penalty and his office will get all the help from the AG they need. In fact they have already been getting it. I imagine there are some industrious journalist looking for the answers about how he managed to be free with his criminal history as I type this.

For those speculating on why he didn't get put to sleep when he was arrested, I spoke with one of the arresting officers and was told that he came out of the woods behind his Grandmother's house with no weapon and his hands held high and a lot of cameras filming so even if they were inclined to be the judge, jury and executioner, they couldn't, but all that I know that were involved would and did play it by the book. I was also told other info but that will have to wait for a bit but it will probably come out anyways in prelims, etc.

Didn't DA Jackson lose his primary and is just serving out his term?
