This is my first year planting a garden in a new spot and it is full of rocks. I took out a lot of them, but it's still rocky, any advice on making the most out of the spot? I will get more rocks out when I plant this fall. The area is really not that big, but big enough to have about 4 rows, that are 30-40 ft. long. It sits on high dry ground, so I have to do a lot of watering to make anything grow half way decent.

Best option dig it out and replace the dirt.

We did a rocky garden spot. Dug it down about 2 ft, laid old half rotten tree trunks in bottom half. Covered with 8-12" of better dirt and let the rains settle it in. Did much better.

My grandads garden spot is rocky, he just picks em up when they are noticeable, he's lived there about 12 years now and still gets a tractor bucket every year. Got a big ol rock pile but the garden does good.

This is my plan for the rocky clay soil I have in my garden area. First time doing it this Spring and it's made a huge difference.
