Thanks, everyone for the advice. I will probably keep what i have. With new car and used car prices out of control. i may just sit tight and wait for this madness to stop, if it ever does.

I do stuff like this sometimes. I fall in love with the "idea" of owning something. Then I research it, read about it, and sometimes even actually go buy it. I like it for a while and then grow quickly tired of it and sell it. Now I just try to research whatever "it" is until the desire to own it goes away, and I'm good.

With Jeeps, specifically, it's all about having the right expectations going in. I always said I wouldn't want one as a DD (although I commute less than ever now, so that may even change), but just wanted one as a "toy"....something I can take the top/doors off when the weather's pretty and just have fun with. Maybe do some mild/moderate offroading (just NO MUD). Yes, they're rough, loud, usually leak oil and they're usually hot or cold depending on what the weather is. If you consider one as a replacement for a nice fancy truck/suv, you'll probably be disappointed. If you go into it with realistic expectations that it's basically a street-legal UTV/side-by-side, then you'll be a lot happier

I’ve got a ‘19 JL wrangler. Had my f150 for 12 years also and kept it as a hunting/work truck. Have loved the Jeep and plan on having one from now on. It’s funny the ones talking about the ride of them are probably talking about the older models.

^^^ I agree. My 05 LJ has and old emu lift and rides great, I drove it to Atlanta on 1/2 tank of gas. The 13 Sahara JKU rides like a pillow.

It’s funny the ones talking about the ride of them are probably talking about the older models. you are right....even going from a TJ to JK/JL is a pretty noticeable jump. And going to a TJ from a CJ/YJ is like going from a horse-drawn wagon to Cadillac. A jeep will never ride as good as a truck/SUV, but there is a night/day difference in the newer jeeps and an old jeep
