Usually go with Bloody Mary, hot and spicy most of the time. Margaritas on the rocks are pretty good when it’s hot outside. Not a mixed drink but Woodford with an ice cube is good about anytime. What’s your go to “traditional” drink?

Decaf Americanos. They are delicious!

Lime water $1.99 margaritas on special at the local Mex joint. Whatever the $5 premium margarita of the month is at Chili's. Otherwise craft beer mostly or a yard beer (Natty) after mowing or weedeating. Very occasionaly I'll have a whiskey sour or a millionaires's coffee.

Most of the time bourbon, whiskey, or scotch on the rocks. I also like vodka martinis. IPA's, stouts and porters. When it gets hot I like lite beer with a lime or one of my new favorites is a Michelada.

6 oz lite beer or Mexican beer
2 oz Zing Zang Bloody Mary mix
Squeeze of lime
A couple of dashes of Tajin seasoning

Put all that in a 16 oz glass of ice and stir.

Those are especially good in the mornings when you start drinking a little early while on vacation in the islands. It's a drink you can pretty much drink all day because it's pretty low in alcohol. Only half of a pretty low alcohol beer at a time. I make mine with Michelob Ultra, so they are pretty low calorie too.

If not scotch on the rocks (ice makes water), it is good Reposado Tequila, soda and a splash of ruby red grapefruit (if I can't find Bent Tree Grapefruit Soda).

Turkey 101 utility bourbon

My "go to" depends upon the situation and season. But most often its bourbon on ice. If I'm sitting out by the firepit in cold weather it will be bourbon with a little water instead of ice. If I'm not drinking bourbon then it would be an IPA.

At the beach I'll still go with an IPA but might also choose a blonde ale. If I'm in the mountains or during the winter I might go with a porter, stout, or brown ale.

But most often its bourbon on ice or an IPA.

Many different bourbons with just a few ice cubes. Woodford Double Oak is one I've tried recently, Yellowstone 105 proof that somebody bought me for Christmas is tasty and stout. Ole Tub is one Irish recommended that does well on the rocks. Four Roses, Bullet, Gentlemen Jack, Russell Reserve, Buffalo Trace, I'm sure there are some others. I like the way the bourbon's flavor changes as the ice melts.

Beers whenever it's hot or the meal or occassion dictates it. Just start feeling bloated after 2-3 though.

Malbec, Merlots, heck all wines my wife or our friends choose for a meal.

Dang I sound like an alcoholic.

Just not very seasoned on clear liquor? Titos with juice of some sort is ok.
