You won’t ever be invited back Darrel. They will invite everyone but you.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Next years trip is scheduled already. I missed the trip last year when I had to cancel when the guy that works opposite of me got covid the couple days before we were to leave. Besides killing all them hogs and predators made them happy so I’m good. But it’s gonna be a long year. beers

This is a private lease that a bunch of friends have and they are wanting to get the number of axis down some so we come up and give them a hand with it. None of them hunt turkeys and let my buddy and I hunt them also. It was a great time had by all. We shot good. We ate good. We drank good. And we slept good. Just good friends doing what we do.

What would a trip like that cost? Not trying to get into your business, just curious.
I’d love to take my family.

Depends on the ranch and what you want to kill.

Where I have gone, 4 turkeys will typically run 3 grand, an Axis buck about the same, axis does usually about 500 each, hogs free to 250 each depending on if the outfitter can sell hunts for them or not.

We saw some the first afternoon on the ranch. They were a lots faster then me. Another guy saw 3 does but couldn’t get a shot. We saw a lot of them between the ranch and Sonora. They are everywhere over there. We left the ranch at 0300 this morning and from the ranch to Sonora which is 13 miles, we counted 162 whitetail and axis combined on that stretch of road. And a lot of big Axis bucks. It’s just crazy.

I have no idea what an outfitter charges. This is what it cost me. And it cost my buddy about the same other then the extra he spent at Bucees.
Diesel-$250
License $181
Taxidermist caping my Axis buck-$95
Food/beer/ice - maybe $100 my share
To me it was worth every penny. Oh and I forgot.
4-Apex 20ga TSS -$45 rofl
