If they are fiochii hulls I wouldn’t trust them in a hunting situation

The fiochii recipe I had issues with, I know there was one other fella that had the same issues. It was from the wad not sealing and allowing powder migration.

This was a long time ago, and there are still a lot of guys that shoot that same recipe without an issue.

I believe it was either a wad issue or a hull issue, but something from one of the lots from the bags of hulls or wads myself and another completely unrelated person in another state were using, we had the same exact issues. The round would act like a pop dud.

Another unrelated hunter I personally know had the issue wareagle22 and preacher had. Again with fiochii hulls. Except this was with gas operated auto loader, the wad stuck in the barrel, the guy reloaded and shot another shell. As you can well expect…..the result was a damaged gun and a near miss from the person getting hurt.

The gas operated guns/powder used/hull is a whole different conversation than what we are talking here and I only mention because I hope to remind everyone that if you have a misfire, check your barrel before firing another shell.
