As title states, I am looking to buy a high quality desk for a home office. I have a couple of weeks before I will have to go buy a new one so figured I would put out a feeler. I will cover the donation if I purchase through a member or get a lead from a member. Ideally the Tuscaloosa south to Mobile area as I am frequently traveling through. Thanks.

Not sure what kind of desk you are in the market for, like a nice executive style or antique or a more practical...but I work from home all day long from my home office and my electric varidesk is well worth the money to me. It's not so much about being able to stand some, but I can make it exactly the height I want that's comfortable and it's not cramped.

I also have another desk setup in my home office b/c I have laptops for multiple customers I have to get on and I bought a generic model electric adjustable desk off amazon that's smaller but actually I was surprised how good a quality it ended up being compared to what it cost me vs. the varidesk.

Good info. I had not really considered the varidesk. I have in my mind a wood antique type desk large enough for a laptop and dual monitors. However, now that you mention it I do know a few people that had the adjustable type at the office and loved them. I am really open to different styles just wanting a higher grade piece of furniture than a boxed Walmart/Office Depot type desk. Thanks for the input, definitely another option to consider.

Aldeer is not really a “high quality desk” kind of place laugh

Check Hal Hunt auctions in Northport if you want some super nice stuff.

I got rid of Elton B. Stephens old desk a few months ago. It would have been perfect. Solid walnut, custom built, oversize. My wife hated it.

Used to be a lifeguard, until that blue kid got me fired.

I bought 2 of these when I moved to a home office, one for me and one for the wife. Had them a year and they've worked out great. Wireless charging pad, a couple of USB ports. Height presets and also a drawer. I added a dual monitor stand. These are great if space is somewhat limited.

I appreciate all the responses. Unfortunately I was not quick enough in my search. My old lady has taken on the office project full bore. So I'm just a bystander paying the bill now. Pretty sure it has become a room makeover instead of just buying a desk and chair.

I did look at the Hal auction in Ttown per 270. They didn't have any desks but if anyone is looking for high end antique furniture they have some amazing pieces.
