150gr. Federal Non-Typical out of my T3 .308. I tried the Federal 150gr Nosler Partitions and they were all over the place.

You bought the right caliber. That's all that's available right now. That and 223.

Great rifle (Tikka) and a great cartridge (308)! It’s our first tikka and I already am debating on selling my rifles and buying the same calibers in a tikka. That thing just feels perfect in your hands

Bought my daughter the same rifle for graduation gift. It shot the first load I tried into less than an inch and I didn't try anything else. It is a handload with a 150 game king.
My brother has one in 25-06 and it shoots everything pretty good.
Point is I bet it won't really matter.
May the sound of hounds never die!

I would recommend changing to the Timney trigger. Tikka factory triggers are great, but have a 2 position safety that locks the bolt on safe, and requires the rifle to be put in "fire" position to run the bolt.
I agree. I just got a T3x Hunter and the two position locking safety and that ridiculously expensive “polymer” magazine are my only gripes with the rifle. I knew that going in, and while they’ll likely never bo problems, I don’t care for them. As you said the factory trigger is one of the best I’ve felt in an out of the box gun. I really like it. It’s not a Sako but it’s a damn well made rifle for the money. I finally got mine put together and just haven’t had a chance to test it. I’d be shocked if it’s not a shooter. They don’t test them to the extremes of the Sako line, but they still test them and they have to meet a standard.
