Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Facilities

The Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries operates and maintains 37 Wildlife Management Areas across Alabama comprising 760,000 acres. These WMAs range in size from 370 (Autauga CHA) acres to 91,263 (Black Warrior WMA) acres. Harvest reports for each WMA are available by clicking here.

He's been bow hunting for a couple years now, and he's excited about being able to go to these WMAs to kill some bucks. He knows he won't be able to kill a buck on each one of the WMAs, but he wants to try to kill one buck on as many as he can this season. As long as he only kills three total he can go for it according to the State

He's killed a three point with his bow, so he would like to do better than that three point if he can, but the horns really ain't important as long as he can get a buck with his bow.

Where did the notion originate that this is a terrible goal for that young hunter to set for himself? I do not think that is a terrible goal for a young hunter with a bow.
