when I worked with him as a delinquent child, but it was a losing cause. Never in my 30 years have I ever dealt with a more soulless person. I'm referring to Matthew Reeves who I dealt with extensively when doing juvenile investigations. He had a tough life and bore the scars of the many beatings he received from his mother and aunt. That never phased him. He was without a conscience, truly, the worst I ever dealt with. Well, Matthew met his maker at 924PM this evening at Holman Prison. If there was anyone that ever deserved to be executed, it was Matthew.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I am thankful that there are people like yourself that deal with societies worst. I just wouldn’t have the heart for it.

I saw my mom at 5 years old try to commit suicide by gut shooting herself with a .25ACP, watched her continually abuse drugs of all types, she beat the sh*t out of me with phone cords, belts, hickories, shoes, etc. till I was 10-11 years old and I was bigger than her. Point being people that are bad are BAD. Sure stuff molds a person but some people are just dead inside. He was definitely that.

Matthew's brother, Julius, who was with Matthew when they committed their crime, along with local butch lesbian Brenda (Bam Bam) Suttles, would engage you and talk to you. He was not soulless like Matthew was. You could say things when interviewing Matthew to try to provoke a response from him and you got nothing but blank stares. Soulless. Julius is serving Life without the Possibility of Parole. Bam Bam is to and loving life in Tutwiler I'm sure.
BTW if you read the Al.com version, they have some of the details of the crime wrong. The victim worked for Selma Water Works on the night shift. He got off work and in the next block he noticed a car broke down. He stopped to help. They shot and robbed the man trying to help them. Al.com says he gave them a ride from the country. That is not so. They shot the victim and then ran from the scene. Randy Tucker's K-9, Donna, picked up their scent and went straight to the Reeve's house. They had come in and changed clothes and left again. Their mother let the officers in to retrieve evidence. This house was about two blocks from the crime scene.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Sounds like a case of possible Reactive Attachment Disorder. We did foster care for a while. Some of the kids we had would exhibit zero conscious or remorse. Sad.

I drove by the road going to Holman yesterday afternoon around 3pm. They had the gate down and law enforcement posted. You always know an execution is coming that night when you see that setup.

As a teacher, I have seen two that I knew I would read about-and I did. Both were useless to society by their own choices they made. They both had parents that did all they could do to steer them the correct way, but they would have no part of it. I saw evil and no regard for life in both their eyes when they were in school with us. We always monitored everything they did while on campus and we were successful in keeping them in line while with us. It didn't take long once they quit school to make their mark on the state's prison system. Behind bars is where they should be until they take their last breath. I hate to be so heartless, but society does not need some folks in it.
I can't stand a thief.

My wife works in the school system and they been dealing with one rotten to the core this year. Sorry ass mama. Kid never had a chance. It’s a shame to know a kid in the 5th grade is already gone. I guess there’s always hope until there’s not but it would take divine intervention to save the kid now.
There’s another one that there is some hope for but his mama won’t sign the papers for him to go to Boys Ranch. We figure she’s getting a check for him.

27 years. Good gracious, think how much tax money that we paid went to feed and house this dude for 27 years. It is a fact that life in prison without parole is cheaper on the tax payers than the death penalty.
