My son and I are here. Patiently waiting for something rut related. Watched 3 does feed for an hour and a half yesterday. No interest what so ever. I’m hoping this cold snap gets things going. I had a new buck on my camera this morning and last night. They should be starting up My son and I are here. Patiently waiting for something rut related. Watched 3 does feed for an hour and a half yesterday. No interest what so ever. I’m hoping this cold snap gets things going. Had a hunt like that last week. Watched a pair of does and their little ones feed for over 2 hours, no bucks seen and they oughta be right. Went back two days later with a good wind knowing a buck must be around if the does are there, and sho enuff. Keep your eyes peeled you never know when they'll make an appearance It’s definitely coming. We are ready. I just want a little excitement. It’s already been a good year. My son has shot 2 decent bucks real early in season. We have 3 that we are wanting a shot at. If season ended today, we wouldn’t complain. There is just nothing better than watching a hot doe with a good one hot on her trail.

I'll be there with my GF this afternoon.

Beautiful morning in South Montgomery County. The cows were happy to see me until they realized that I wasn’t there to feed them.

Nothing here in Clarke so far
Broadhead - think my rut started early - had chasing in Clark by diff mature deer 2-3 days straight and all were also lip curling - Camden same way - chasing hard 2 weeks ago - movement slow since which is what u usually see in the rut - does get scared to death and the 8 point i shot 2 weeks ago smell rutty bad - experience has told me I usually don’t see them chasing hard for 2-4 weeks - spurts - 2-3 days They were finally chasing in Camden again yesterday- May go back today and while experience has told me rut here usually best 17-20th on - I hav also seen it come in hard Early on diff years
Good luck guys
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

When you guys say chasing do you mean a buck checking does off a field then moving on to another group or are yall talking about 1 buck locked onto one doe who just stays with her wherever she goes? The first example is prerut imo the 2nd example or mature deer just dissappearing (breeding) is the rut or actual breeding period imo. Lots of folks call bucks busting out and clearing a green field or chasing around a family group of does the rut but I was taught that happens 10-14 days before actual breeding.
