Just came back from hunting family farm in Montgomery County, we hunted 12/30/21 - 1/3/22.

My son killed his first on a green field (8point) on 12/31/21. Right before he stepped out we heard deer running and grunting in the clearcut next to the field, not sure if it was this buck. Also had smaller spikes and four points chasing does off the field almost all afternoon.

I killed a buck on 1/3/22. Several bucks had chased does across the field too quick to get a shot but this one came out about 35 mins after the last buck had passed, made a scrape on the field and checked all the does on the field. He stunk worse than any rutting buck I have ever killed.

Curious what everyone else is seeing down there as I am trying to plan my last trip. This action was extremely early compared to previous years, MLK weekend is normally a good benchmark for us.

Thanks and good luck to everyone.
