Rumor is during the meeting him and his dad had with harsin there were some wants and demands for next year and Harsin told them it wasn’t going to happen.. Good for Harsin if this is true. He has to call the shots if we are to hold him accountable for how things turn out. If Nix was going to leave then going out West was best for him and AU since there are no distractions around them facing each other unless it is a bowl game. I harbor no ill will towards him and wish him well in his new home. It will be interesting to see how he does with a different OL protecting him.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Harsin is from what I have heard, a my way or the highway type of coach. That is what I mean when I say that if you are going to hold him accountable you have to let him do it his way. Now we will see who holds more power on campus, Harsin and the AD or Yella Fella.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Auburn needs a coach like that especially after the ones we’ve had over the last decade. We haven’t had a legitimate head coach since Tuberville

Chizik was a national championship coach. I don't believe Tuberville won one, but he did win a senate seat. Terry might come back if JB will let him borrow that Christmas present he has over on the general forum.

Auburn needs a coach like that especially after the ones we’ve had over the last decade. We haven’t had a legitimate head coach since Tuberville Auburn needs a real coach for sure. Real coaches do not take orders or instructions from players or player's parents. Coach/player meetings to discuss coach's expectations of a player or where a player stands going into the next year are fine but player's dont make demands of real coaches and real coaches absolutely will not stand for it. If Harsin did this, then good for him and it's a step in the right direction for Auburn. Good for the coach for holding his ground and not letting his clutch slip

So Nix tranferred for his senior year, only one year? whats the point of that plus OR already has some good qbs. I assume to get his draft stock up. Gotta do something. It only takes one good year to do it. Don't know that it will work but it for sure wasn't happening at the Barn. I would think he has a good feeling from the O coach that he can be a starter due to experience but it is a bit odd.
