How often should a bow string be relpaced?? I have a mathews solo cam that is probably 10 years old and only replaced the string one time about 5 years ago and havent hunted with it a dozen times.I just dont want to pull it back and the thing blowup in my face :rolleyes:

if thats the case, i need to replace mine, i bought my switchback in 2006 in think brandnew, still has the same string, i do wax it though several times a year if that matters

i change mine every year but i shoot year round as well. 2 years is long as i would go. keep it waxed and it will last longer as well

I guess if you have a broke strand you should probably not shoot it at all? Right?
