The Cahaba Refuge is over 3000 acres. It’s bow only and it doesn’t produce better quality bucks than the rest of the WMA.

I bet there are a bunch of meat eaters and dog hunters keeping those deer cleaned out too from the nearby leased land and accessible public. With corn now being used, probably just got worse.
