I love single shots. Always have for whatever reason. They definitely have benefits in regards to longer barrel length yet shorter OAL. Actually just pulled my wife’s H&R heavy barrel .243 out of the safe for her to carry this afternoon. I’ll more than likely have my Stainless CVA in .444 Marlin.

The Ruger #1 RSI is a beautiful rifle if you like “full stocked” guns. But the Dakota Model 10, with case coloring, is probably the prettiest single shot rifle ever made. Of course that’s just my opinion.
