Busy afternoon. Easily over 40 out feeding by 4:45. Saw plenty of 3 yr olds and younger. Just not the ones we want to kill. Rut is in cusp of breaking loose. I’d say Dec 1 it’s gonna be prime time.

I legitimately cannot imagine that. I think I see MAYBE 20-30 deer a season.

Hell I had 12 standing within 30 yds of my truck when I walked out. Deer were everywhere today

I hunted the same stand with my wife this afternoon and I let her shoot at a goodun. Right after she shot I grabbed my gun out of the corner and told her I was going to shoot the next biggest deer. I shot and mine fell and we saw hers run off looked like unscaved with no possibility of another shot. She doesn’t usually miss so I’m gonna go back tomorrow morning and look some more but I believe it was a clean miss. Here’s the leftovers I had to shoot.

She had to take her boots off to try and count points. If she by some chance she killed it I will post a pic.

Think that’s weird? The rut is practically over in Louisiana where my brother hunts.

Congratulations hayman! That’s some fine leftovers, hope you find the wife’s deer this morning for the double play!

Thank y’all! I don’t have to go look for the other deer. He was on camera throughout the night without a scratch on him.
