Looking for opinions on the place. What's good and what's not. Thought I may take the wife, if it's worth going to.

Sushi is very good. Steaks are really good too. Some of the best bread pudding you'll ever have.

Never had a bad meal there.

Donkey Roll on Crack will hurt you

My wife and I love the place. Always good food and service. If you like sushi ask for the specialty roll menu. It's not on the regular menu. It's usually kept at the bar. Some of the names on the specialty menu are screaming o and red light district.
It's pricey but worth it.

Always good. And they take reservations.

That's our go to for splurging. Make reservations. Best sushi I've found in Birmingham.

Appetizer - Uptown Shrimp & Spring Rolls. Sushi - Tuna is great, very fresh. For rolls - Miami Heat, Surf and Turf, Spicy Salmon, and Meatloaf rolls. Entrees - Gulf Fish Picatta, Seafood Platter. Desserts - They make a nightly special for Cheesecake, havent had a bad one yet.

I thought this place was on the aldeer ban list?

One of the top 3 steaks I’ve eaten in my life. Two thumbs up.

The owner is a liberal, sure. But - not the crazy kind. His companies give a lot to charity, they promote local, traceable seafood, and stay engaged in the community. But I still don’t like eating at Harbor Docks.

Upside is food is always good
Downside is portions have went way down and prices have went up

Outstanding! Went for my 40th bday and again a few weeks ago. The red snapper and Gouda grit cake were fantastic and I haven’t tasted a sushi roll I didn’t like.

Skip the tuna dip.... it was ok, not great.

Just got back from Chuck's, and as many of y'all stated, it was excellent. Wife had a steak, and I had the blackened amberjack. We also got a couple of sushi rolls that y'all had recommended, and they where all very good.

Their steaks are good, and probably the biggest portion of something you can get.
My wife and I always get the uptown shrimp and Screaming O sushi as an appetizer. The screaming o is a hidden menu item that my buddy made me aware of the first time we went.

They put mayo in some of their sushi, which is just flat out disgusting. I actually like Sushi Village at Lee Branch a little better. For the kind of sushi I eat that is.
