Best case he gets off and gets a book deal for killing a pedo. I hope you're right, but I have little faith in the justice system giving him a fair chance, simply due to the publicity

If justice is served, then he will get off and then have millions of settlements against the news agencies for calling him a white supremacist and a vigilante.

It's a big deal because this is going to set a precedence for your ability to respond to a violent mob of Democrats destroying your town. It comes down to being able to not only protect your own community but your personal property. This is a big big deal IMO. He should not have been charged with a crime. This young man was Violently Attacked by an armed mob or individuals..... Here is the picture and proof of that statement:
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

If he walks away with a weapons charge that's probably appropriate. Personally I am concerned with one fact pattern:
No matter how you got there.... if you are attacked by an armed mob do you have the right to use deadly force to defend yourself?
A 17-18 year old kid should not have to bear this burden. I feel really bad for him that these are the circumstances. But - toting around a gun is serious business. And I think we should all reflect on that and the potential for this kind of liability in our own lives. I'm talking to the person that thinks they are going to get involved in preventing a gas station robbery or something of that nature. You need to think about what it means to wear a gun and how you are willing to use it.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

There are three strikes against him.
#1. He was illegally armed. #2. His weapon was illegally purchased. #3. He went to the riot, the riot did not come to him (shows intent).
Wisconsin Castle Doctrine only allows for a self defense claim when you are in your home, business, or vehicle. Rittenhouse was not in any of those three places. So no, I don't think he walks away without a conviction. I watched a lot of Peoples Court growing up and I concur.

Regardless if Wisconsin has the “ castle doctrine”. Self defense still applies + what Goatkiller said.

Can the state prove he went there with the intent to kill someone? Good luck with that!

I'm not sure about courts am convinced .223 rounds will prevail against rioters. Some fellow back in the day said something about the price of liberty was everlasting vigilance. Franklin maybe? #Moreammo more better.
