The japs def know how to get more quality production and it never involves a union at any point
They certainly know how to build vehicles that will last.
My former company was a tier-one supplier to Honda. They have unions in Japan but it's nothing like it is here. It's basically just a social club after work hours and they don't sit around and tell their employer how to run the business.
