I've killed some good bucks from the ground. I have a spot where I can sit on a high bluff watching a creek and hardwoods with thick planted pines at the top of the other bluff. They come down through the hardwoods and I can see them for over 400 yards before they reach the creek crossing below my stump. It's a great spot, and I love to sit there. Being that high up I might as well be in a tree. Killed this one from the ground this past December 31.
