Congrats Atoler. Saw 5, only one came within shooting range but it was too dark even though she was under my tree.

If Coosa would have been shooting a 400 gr arrow and a rage it would have died within 60 yards....lol.... just kidding, good luck finding him tomorrow Haha it’s a long story that I’ll write tomorrow, hopefully with pics of the deer. The arrow did what it was supposed to do but the shot was rushed.

This is one of the ones I told you I had seen live and why it was probably best to back out.........You can see the wound about where I thought you described hitting him.....You never know with these hits. Do you think you hit this high? ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/M7NfeE5.jpg)

Good deal........Is it crazy thick where he ran? Is there any water close by in that direction? Open hardwoods with some thick spots mixed in, but he’s headed towards a pretty thick old grown up field. There’s a pond on the property but he was headed in the opposite direction of it.

Good looking setup. Is that a DYI gear strap?
Kinda, it’s a webbing daisy chain that I bought for a platform that I don’t use anymore. Added a piece of paracord and cam jam to it so I could cinch it down on the tree and some S biners to hang gear from. It works great!

I thought it looked like a daisy webbed chain, but the rope threw me off! Good idea! I’ll have to give it a try.
