Sitting a ridge with white oaks and red oaks pouring on the edge of swamp and thinned pines. Let’s see how special these areas are.

Big lone doe just walked completely around me. She wasn’t in any danger but still stayed just out of range.

Headed to the stand in about 10 min. Good luck to all but most importantly be safe. It’s awful to get in the woods and your glasses fog up every time you get them wiped clean and put them back on. To think TC just thinks it’s foggy.
At 07:15 I Made a 42yrd shot on what I thought was a doe but it turned out to be a 4 point. Double lung hit and he only made it about 50yrds. I had 2 doe come around about 20 min earlier and he came from where they went, I thought it was the largest doe coming back so I sent the Ol thunder head down range. With the price of meat the slick heads better look out.

Well I had a first. I had a half wild half pot bellied pig slip under me while I was getting my climber set in the tree. It didn’t let me pull my bow up or I would have run a arrow thru it.
