I personally have zero experience with the Honda utv’s but my coworker goes on trail rides a couple of weekends a month with his Razor and he is always talking about how the Honda’s seem to hold up much better than his Razor does. He’s definitely impressed with them and is always threatening to trade for one.

I have a Polaris but a buddy of mine has a Pioneer 1000 and he loves it. Good solid machine.

Our Honda 1000-5 has been solid.

The 700-4 is a solid machine. Great suspension, comfy and dependable.

I believe they are solid machines, can’t you get a new 22 model for around $12k? I haven’t priced any in a year but I think that’s where they were priced. For $3500 more I might would look at a new one with a warranty

I have a 16 700-4. It’s been a good one. I have used it pulling a little bush hog and disc since I’ve had it and can’t complain about its power. Only complaint is top speed is about 43 and it is wound out when it gets there. I usually stay around 10-20 so it’s not much of a problem until you get on open roads.

I've had a 700 4 deluxe on order for two months. They are hard to find used. If I bought used, you check to make there no water on oil. Or other signs of being swamped. That is a good deal.maybe too good.

The 700 wasn't big enough for me and the 1000 was too big for my budget.

Nice machines, but whatever you put in the bed goes into/onto the seats

As long as you aren’t in some heavy Delta gumbo, or the like, a 700 is fine for what we do with them down here next to sea level. No experience at elevation to help there, though.

experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....

Bought a 2014 model when they first came out, 700-2 seater. Haven’t had any issues with it in 3300? Miles. Pioneer is not as agile as Rangers and other comparable side by sides, not as fast and not as many bells and whistles….but it’s a shaft drive Honda. Sure I would entertain the 1000 if buying another one but I haven’t had any regrets

Brother has a 2019 1000-5 and it’s the best of both world in my opinion. Loaded the bed down with 500lbs of seed and fertilizer today, drop it off, and then rip like hell with the paddle shifters in sport mode to get a reload for the next plot.
