I've got an itch to buy a new climber to bow hunt out of, which is the best for the money??

I've been looking at a hand climber but I've never used one. I know the Summit OpenShot is reasonably priced. Are they that much harder to use than a sit & climb?

X3 Lone Wolf Alpha is the best...the Summit open shot is a distant second IMHO. I own both and the Summit is always the bench warmer.

I ordered mine today....my Summit that is. I just couldn't make myself drop a cool $400 on a LW climber. I ordered the Razor ss, I can sit & climb then fold the bar under the seat & have an open stand to bow hunt out of. That's the plan anyway, thank's for the input.

308 you bought the best bow stand Summitt makes. I ride one every year and love it. A good tip is to fold the seat all together and it will be like sitting on a bar stool and very comfortable. You are gonna like it.

I think it will work, I read alot of positive comments about the Razor over on archerytalk. Again, the LW seemed to be the cats meow of stands but that's way over budget for me right now. I'll see if I can pick up a slightly used LW after deer season for about 1/2 the new price because I'm kind of cheap like that. laugh

Used ones are not too hard to come by if you keep your eyes open. Once the bigger guys start figuring out they can't sit in it longer than about 2 hours without feeling like they've been beaten with a sledgehammer, they drop em like hot potatoes. laugh

I think you did the right thing because you bought a stand made in Alabama. JMHO.
