I've been in a few in Alabama when someone else was paying and they gave all been a joke. Last one i went to was Great Southern Outdoors in Union Springs and killed two bobcats. Saw a couple of raghorn bucks.
About 20 hunters in our group and a grand total of... 2 does killed. 🤣
The food was pretty good though.

If he wants to hunt private land, several charity hunts and school hunts are available- google search will probably find them. Most are Jan. 15-28. In our area- Montgomery Lions Club Charity Deer hunt ( full disclosure I am chairman - we may already be sold out) Pike Lib Academy Macon- East Academy Lowndes Academy Pickens Academy There are others. I have never seen more deer on a commercial pay hunt place ( and I have been to several) than are seen on the private land fundraisers. might get to kill hogs for free on most of them, and doe limits are usually very liberal over the 4 hunts ( typically TH afternoon-Sat morning) and these guys will prep your deer for travel in most cases ( 75-80% of our hunters are out of state). Lot of mountable deer killed during these hunts.

Enon Plantation would be a good one to check out too...... I thought they sold out several years back? They may have.......It's been a few years since I've been there. Nice place though loaded with deer......I showed up one time to track a deer about the time they were eating breakfast. I sat down and ate with the group that was there and it was all really good......
