I hate the heat. I dang sure ain't driving to go sit on a beach with zero natural shade. Plus it's boring as hell. Sit around And bake in the sun or go shop at tourist food and store shops. No thanks. That's just me though. It's not just you. You can't drag my ass to the beach.

Schools start back so early now that even mid August is much better then Memorial Day weekend to that mid August point.

Sadly Santa Rosa used to be that beach. I remember fondly being on the beach on the 4th of July and not having many around us. As soon as you left 30A onto 98 heading towards Destin the madness only got worse. Now I think it’s all a cluster.
