I've never seen waist high chufas and I've been growing them about 20 years, you might want to pull a few and see if it's actually chufas. Take a picture and post it here, might be a world record

Don’t know how to post pictures, but I’ll be glad to text you one, and you are welcome to post it. I pull a few and see how they’re making every time I go check on em. Can’t help it lol.

One of my other plots. Got a little dinged up when I sprayed but I’m hoping they pull through

Has anyone tried mowing Chufa ? Got a few sickle pod plants about to go to seed. I’d like to mow it if possible.

I mow mine sometimes if they’re done anyway to try and keep the grass and stuff from taking hold.

I usually mow mine about this time of year, probably sooner if a field has sicklepod. The only reason not to would be if you still have chufa plants that are green and growing.
